US’ Abercrombie & Fitch’s sales up 14% YoY to $1.2 bn in Q3 FY24

Abercrombie & Fitch Co has reported net sales of $1.2 billion in Q3 FY24, up 14 per cent YoY, with 16 per cent comparable sales.
Net income rose to $132 million, or $2.50 EPS. For 9M FY24, net sales grew 19 per cent YoY to $3.36 billion, with net income of $379 million. Full-year FY24 sales growth is now expected at 14-15 per cent, with Q4 sales forecast at 5-7 per cent growth.

Primark sells 66% of clothes made from sustainable materials in 2023

Primark’s third annual Sustainability and Ethics Report shows that 66 per cent of its clothes sold in the past year were made from recycled or sustainably sourced materials.

Poland’s apparel import from Turkiye at $1 bn, 3rd largest supplier

Poland imported $1.021 billion worth of apparel from Turkiye in January-August 2024, making Turkiye its third-largest supplier with a 10.81 per cent share.
Imports rose 5.83 per cent from $965.251 million in 2023.
Poland also imported $75.389 million of fabric from Turkiye, down from $89.373 million last year.
Turkiye’s share in Poland’s total fabric imports was 9.71 per cent.

US’ Buckle Q3 sales drop 3.2% YoY, net income hits $44.2 million

The Buckle, Inc, has reported Q3 FY24 net sales of $303.5 million, down 3.2 per cent YoY, with comparable store sales dropping 0.7 per cent. Net income was $44.2 million.
Online sales rose 1.1 per cent to $46.6 million.
For 9M FY24, net sales fell 4.6 per cent to $838.5 million, with a 5.4 per cent decline in comparable store sales and a 9.2 per cent drop in online sales to $128 million.
