Dhaka clears plan to sharply hike tariff structure for Chattogram port

Bangladesh has approved a proposal for raising tariffs on both goods and vessels at the Chittagong seaport, in some cases up to 10 times or above.
The proposal aims at ‘improving the quality of services and efficiency’ at the port.
Port-use tariffs have not been raised since 1986.
A section of port users perceives this decision ‘illogical’ as it will be tough for exporters to absorb this additional cost.

US’ Deckers posts 16.9% Q1 FY26 sales growth as Hoka & Ugg shine

Deckers Brands has posted strong Q1 FY26 results with net sales up 16.9 per cent to $964.5 million, driven by Hoka and Ugg.
International sales surged 49.7 per cent, offsetting domestic decline.
Net income rose to $139.2 million, with EPS at $0.93.
