Turkiye’s apparel exports dip 6.54% to $6.7 bn in Jan-May 2025

Turkiye’s apparel exports dropped 6.54 per cent year-on-year to $6.779 billion in January–May 2025, with both knitted and non-knitted segments seeing declines.
May 2025 exports also fell 7.78 per cent.
Imports of cotton textiles (HS Chapter 52) rose slightly by 2 per cent during the same period.
In 2024, total apparel exports were down 4.47 per cent, continuing a declining trend since 2022.

Argentina’s apparel & fabric imports surge in Jan–Apr 2025

Argentina’s apparel imports rose 83 per cent to $223.8 million and fabric imports increased 56 per cent to $175.4 million during January–April 2025.
China remained the leading supplier for both.
Apparel imports had been volatile in 2024, while fabric imports declined for three consecutive years since 2022.
