Cambodia’s apparel exports rise 26% to $1.7 bn in Jan-Feb 2025

Cambodia’s apparel exports rose by 26.29 per cent in January-February 2025, contributing 38.8 per cent of total foreign income.
Knitted and non-knitted apparel exports grew by 23.3 per cent and 31.0 per cent, respectively.
Imports of textiles also increased, with knitted fabrics rising by 12.9 per cent.
While overall trade performance was strong, exports were higher in January than in February.

Germany’s Puma sees sales growth, stronger margins in FY24

Puma has achieved 4.4 per cent sales growth in FY24, reaching €8.82 billion (~$9.61 billion), with gains across all regions and product divisions.
EBIT remained stable at €622 million (~$678 million), while net income fell 7.6 per cent.
The company launched the Nextlevel efficiency programme to enhance profitability, targeting 8.5 per cent EBIT margin by 2027.

AAFA, FLA urge US govt to ‘preserve, protect and promote’ ILAB

The American Apparel & Footwear Association and the Fair Labour Association have requested department of labour secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer to ‘preserve, protect and promote’ the department’s Bureau of International Labour Affairs (ILAB) and its programmes to defend workers.
Both rely on the work of ILAB, which works globally to ensure a level-playing field for American workers, they said.
