Turkiye’s apparel exports fell by 6.02 per cent YoY to $13.247 billion in January–September 2024, down from $14.096 billion in 2023.
Exports of knitted apparel decreased by 3.4 per cent, while non-knitted items saw a 9.3 per cent drop.
In September, overall exports declined 4.78 per cent.
Meanwhile, imports of non-knitted and crocheted goods rose 16.9 per cent YoY.

Xingchen Textile will invest $35.03 million to establish a textile industry in the Mongla Export Processing Zone, recycling garment wastage known as ‘jhut.’
The facility aims to produce 20,000 metric tonnes of yarn and 12,000 metric tonnes of woven fabrics annually.
An agreement was signed, with the investment expected to create 600 jobs for Bangladeshi nationals.

From Jan-Jul, Cambodia exported $114.512 million worth of garments to Australia, with cotton garments making up 54.67 per cent and man-made garments 36.06 per cent.
The total export value grew from $84.360 million in Jan-Jul 2023.
Other exports included wool, silk and garments made from other fibres.
Major product categories included trousers, jerseys, T-shirts, innerwear and baby wear.

Vietnam’s footwear exports reached $16.292 billion between January and August 2024, a 4.9 per cent decline from the same period in 2023.
The United States was the largest market, accounting for 30.26 per cent of total shipments.
Regional exports were primarily directed to North America (34.97 per cent) and the Asia-Pacific (31.59 per cent).
Total exports in 2023 dropped 11.27 per cent.

Everest Technology introduced advanced garment machines, including poly filling, keyhole machines, and smart cutting systems, at GTE 2024.

Cambodia’s apparel exports to South Korea reached $139.766 million during January-August, led by trousers, shorts, T-shirts, jerseys, shirts and innerwear.
Trousers and shorts made up 26.92 per cent of the total.
Exports were 8.36 per cent lower than the same period in 2023, when they reached $152.525 million.
Post-COVID, Cambodia’s exports to South Korea grew to $201.116 million in 2023.

Adidas reported a 10 per cent rise in currency-neutral Q3 2024 revenues, with net income reaching €469 million (~$508.4 million) and operating profit at €598 million (~$648.2 million).
Footwear sales grew 14 per cent, and apparel by 5 per cent. Adidas forecasts 10 per cent revenue growth for 2024 and expects operating profit around €1.2 billion (~$1.3 billion).
