India’s gems and jewellery exports experienced a 4.62% decrease in April, totaling USD 2,037.06 million, according to GJEPC data. Cut and polished diamond exports fell by 6.12%, while gold jewellery shipments saw a 5.41% decline. Polished lab-grown diamond exports remained nearly flat, but coloured gemstone exports showed a positive trend with an 11.95% increase.

Raymond has reported total income of ₹2,105 crore (~$252 million) in FY25, up 85 per cent YoY, with revenue from operations at ₹1,947 crore and EBITDA rising 41 per cent to ₹335 crore.
Net profit surged to ₹7,636 crore (~$914 million), driven by ₹7,584 crore from demerged operations.
In Q4, income grew 95 per cent to ₹601 crore (~$72 million), with ₹99 crore EBITDA.

US trade body AAFA has requested Canadian Minister of Environment and Climate Change Terry Duguid to include an exemption for products that test below the 100 ppm total organic fluorine threshold under prohibitions for intentionally-added PFAS in textile products.
It also requested Canada to include an exemption from PFAS regulation for products made with at least 50-per cent recycled content.

Suparna Mitra, the CEO of Titan Company’s Watches & Wearables Division, has resigned. Her resignation is due to personal reasons. Her last working day will be August 12, 2025. Mitra has been with Titan for over 15 years. She held various leadership roles during her tenure.

After two days of negotiations in Geneva, U.S. and China announced tariff reductions for the next three months, with U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports dropping from 145% to 30% and Chinese duties on U.S. imports falling from 125% to 10%, leading to a surge in global shares. The U.S. and China had imposed tit-for-tat tariffs on each other last month, triggering a trade war.

Raymond Lifestyle stated that its Q4 performance was impacted by high inflation, subdued consumer demand, and a ransomware attack that disrupted operations, resulting in temporary system outages and supply chain delays. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations for Q4 stood at Rs 1,494 crore, down 11 per cent from Rs 1,685 crore in the year-ago quarter. For the full financial year FY25, revenue slipped to Rs 6,177 crore from Rs 6,535 crore in FY24.
